The chairman of SiriusXM Satellite Radio, David Frear, announced on Sunday that Chris Cuomo would be departing his monthly satellite show, Let’s Get After It. The show launched in October of last year and garnered a significant viewership. According to the WSJ, the show drew upwards of 2 million total viewers a month last year. Chris will remain in the role of New Day co-anchor.
“Congratulations to Chris on his longstanding commitment to SiriusXM’s Howard Stern channel, ‘Heart & Soul,’” Frear said in a statement on Sunday. “The Chris Cuomo show has been a great vehicle for bringing a politically-minded and sharply-edited public intellectual to our digital audiences. I want to thank him for the many times he’s brought insight, passion and impeccable editorial judgment to Howard Stern.”
Next on Howard Stern’s show Friday, Chris will make the announcement — in person. Tune in at 6 PM EST.
